Al Reem Shamrocks were truly honoured to welcome Jim McGuinness, legendary
Donegal football manager, during his team’s warm-weather training camp in Abu
Dhabi. In what was an unforgettable experience for the players, Jim led a session
focused on tactical awareness, mental preparation, and team cohesion —
invaluable lessons from a man who revolutionized modern Gaelic football.
The Shamrocks players and management gained incredible insights from Jim’s
session, and we are hugely grateful for his time, energy, and words of wisdom. His
passion for the game, combined with his focus on mental resilience and discipline,
is something that will stay with us as we continue to build our club.
On behalf of everyone at Al Reem Shamrocks, a heartfelt thank you to Jim
McGuinness for this memorable experience. It’s not every day that a club gets to
learn from one of Gaelic football’s most iconic figures!

Heading into the final round of the league, Reem were hopeful to go all
the way after a strong first 3 tournaments. With a few positional changes,
the team begin to click straight away in the first group game. After a great
battle with Sharjah in the group, both sides seemed destined to meet
again in the knockout stages.
A hard-fought win in the semi final, paved the way for a Reem final against
Dubai Celts, who had our number in the previous tournament.
- As the old saying goes, goals win games. 3 first-half goals were crucial for
Reem to secure victory, capping off a fantastic year and a tied top-of-the-
table position after 4 tournaments.

in honour of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month in November, many of our players
grew (or tried to grow) some very questionable moustaches.
From handlebars to pencil-thins, the below 'staches created much-needed awareness
for prostate cancer, and mens mental health. During the campaign, Al Reem Shamrocks
supported in the fundraising for Jumeriah Gaels player, Beefy, and his battle with
Leukemia.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help to ease the financial strain on his family,
and remind them that the GAA community stands firmly by their side.
